Crafty Maven Get A Way - Roller Babe
Today I am over on the Crafty Maven Get A Way channel with a Sketch It Out Thursday. Yeah, I know if it is actually Sunday...last week was a bit crazy so I am just getting the video up now. I really like how this one turned out so I wanted to make sure I did share it, even if it was a bit late.
Here is the overall page.
The sketch I used is from Page Maps.
I had paper from Pink Paisley that was several different patterns in a grid. It was great for this layout because I was able to get several different colors/patterns and only cut into one sheet. I also used all of the left over negative spaces on another layout that I hope to be sharing sometime soon.
I added some stitching through each column of hearts and all of the way around the page.
In the background I used clear gesso and two spray mists. One from Lindy's Stamp Gang (Cotton Candy - no shimmer) and the other from Shimmerz (Jeni B Blue - Vibez). I was a bit worried at first that the Jeni B Blue ink would be too dark, but after it dried and I added the paper layers over the top, I think it turned out really nice.
I used these vellum letter stickers and some pretty pink glitter Thickers for the title. I am not very creative with titles, but I do like this one. It is not all that creative, but it is better than "At the Roller Rink" or something a little more generic.
Here is how it all came together. Make sure you check out the Crafty Maven Get A Way Facebook page as well. All of the links are in the video description.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
